Daylight saving time around the world

Some places move clocks seasonally, others do not, and transition dates are not synchronized globally.

Why offsets change

A city can move from one UTC offset to another when daylight saving time begins or ends. That means the difference between two cities may be different in March than in July or November.

How GlobalTimeGuide handles it

Live clocks and converters use IANA identifiers such as Europe/Berlin or America/New_York. Those identifiers carry historical and current time-zone rules, unlike a fixed label such as UTC−5.
